We are looking for volunteers to help young homeless people off the street

Specifically we are looking for both volunteer hosts and drivers for Cumbria's Nightstop service. Nightstop is a way of providing safe accommodation for young people aged 16-25, who find themselves in a crisis situation, and would be at risk of homelessness.

Nightstop volunteers are ordinary people who are willing to open the door of their home to help young people in need, or who offer their time to help by becoming volunteer drivers.

Even if you can only offer your room for one night a year – for someone, that could make all the difference in the world.

Please express your interest / request a call back below:

What young people and hosts say about Nightstop...

“Nightstop never gave up on me, even when I was at my lowest they picked me back up. The hosts and staff were lovely and helped me rebuild my life and gain back my confidence.”

“I have found it most rewarding and interesting hosting young people who are in difficulties for a variety of reasons, often connected with family breakdown.”

"I actually think that being a Nightstop host is a privilege."

"Without the help of Nightstop I would have been on the streets in the cold and rain."
